PRO-TEK SB 101 |

PRO-TEK SB 101 is a powerful oxygen scavenger based on a catalysed solution of sodium sulphite and is used to remove the presence of dissolved oxygen in steam boiler feed waters.
The dose rate of this product will depend upon site parameters but an approximation for general purposes 20-30 g/m3 feed water would be recommended. A sulphite reserve of 30-70 mg/L should be maintained within the boiler. | |
PRO-TEK SB 141 |

PRO-TEK SB 141 is an alkalinity builder based on a solution of sodium hydroxide and is used to increase the P & M alkalinity in steam boiler feed waters.
The dose rate of this product will depend upon site parameters for general purposes 8-12 g/m3 feed water would be recommended. It is recommended that the M alkalinity should not exceed 1000 ppm, and that the P2 Alkalinty should be controlled at between 10-15% of the TDS value of the boiler water. | |
PRO-TEK SB 151 |

PRO-TEK SB 151 is a phosphate dispersant treatment and is used to control any leakage of hardness into the boiler which precipitates hardness salts as Calcium phosphate & hydroxyapitate, which is dispersed and removed through blowdown. The dose rate of this product will depend upon site parameters but an approximation for general purposes 8-12 g/m3 feed water would be recommended. A phosphate reserve of 30-60 mg/L should be maintained within the boiler. | |

Dosed, along with other chemicals in the Remineralisation process of product water calcium chloride is also used to correct mineral deficiencies in the brewing water (calcium is important for enzyme function during the mash, for kettle protein coagulation (the "hot break") and yeast metabolism) and adds permanent hardness to the water. | |
